Calvin Becker is a singer/songwriter, drummer and keyboardist.

He is best known for being the drummer for the R & B group The Earthtones from 1997 to 2001. The group was nominated for a Canadian Juno in 1995 & 1997 and released a CD as part of an international recording deal with German-based Edel Records in 2000.

From 1990 to 1997 he was a singer/songwriter in the The Grooveyard releasing music on Metanoia Records in Canada.

He is also known as the driving force behind bluessmyth who toured Canada from 2001 to 2006 supporting their two independently released CDs.

In 2003, Calvin Becker released a CD of instrumental music entitled Center of the Circle on the Los Angeles based record label Harmonic Tremors.

From 2009 to 2010, he was part of the songwriting duo Becker Hutchings releasing the CD The Difference Between Jam and Jelly in Canada with the song "Back to Me" in rotation on Canadian radio.
